It is a very small island so have your eyeglasses or spectacles at hand just in case you have trouble finding this “one happy island” of Aruba. I can’t really think of the most appropriate words to describe Aruba but I think these words that popped in my head is suitable enough to express my impression of Aruba – a colorful and happy island inhabited by happy people.

Historical sites, casinos, hotels and beach resorts, shops, restaurants are just few of what this “one happy island” nation of Aruba offers to hundreds and even thousands of daily arriving visitors – either by plane or by cruise ships. Just for today only, two large cruise ships (Noordaam and Emerald Princess) and one medium size cruise ship (Black Watch) visited the main port of Oranjestad. In short, Aruba is a tourism capital.

Oranjestad is the main town and the capital of Aruba. According to Wikipedia, “Oranjestad” in English literally means “Orangetown”. Well, that sounds true as my friend who lives in The Netherlands also told me the same thing through her comment in my Facebook page. And for my friend Dub, well, you won’t be disappointed visiting Aruba, casino here is as inviting as in Las Vegas.

Where Aruba is situated on Earth? Well, to make things much easier (at least for me and hopefully to others), open your Google Earth application and fly into these coordinates:
Latitude: 12 deg. 31.2 minutes North
Longitude: 070 deg. O2.7 minutes West
