Travel

This is M/S Hanseatic, a five star cruise ship owned by a German company, Hapag-Lloyd. The M/S Hanseatic is a worldwide expedition cruise ship that is also designed to sail the Arctic and Antarctic regions. Its original name was M/S Society Adventurer when it was built in 1991 and was eventually renamed M/S Hanseatic until today. The 123- meter cruise ship can accommodate 184 passengers and 125 crew. Meeting this adventure ship rarely happens, so when the ship arrived this morning here in Papeete, Tahiti, I did not let this uncommon chance slip by without having any souvenirs. Using my digital camera (which I always have with me wherever I go around), I captured few images of the M/S Hanseatic. Now, I have here in my hard disk few photos of the ship and certainly I will be storing all these photos into my bulky archives of images as souvenirs.

To be able to sail with M/S Hanseatic either towards the freezing Arctic in the North or to the Antarctic region in the South is obviously an interesting experience. Here is an account from a person who had sailed with the M/S Hanseatic and you can read it from here and another one at this link.
