“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain
If you simply want to view places through photographs, you landed on the right place. If discovering and exploring places interests you, you landed on the right place too. Hi you there! This is Dexter and welcome to PinoyBro.
Who I am
Originally, I was some kind of a couch potato who prefers traveling the last thing I'm gonna do. But for some reason, I opted for the seafaring profession. So now I am sort of a traveling machine - sailing from port to port, exploring places and meeting a lot of people. I also enjoy taking photos of places I visited and you can view all this stuff on Flickr.
Working onboard the luxurious five-star Paul Gauguin, a cruise ship operating mainly around French Polynesia and the South Pacific, was a chance of a lifetime experience in my career. Considering the tranquility, the charm and the remoteness of the islands the ship is visiting a luxury, working onboard the Paul Gauguin was more of a privilege rather than work. Being privileged to be one of the Paul Gauguin crews has led me to visit, explore and see with my own eyes the Cook Islands, Fiji, Tonga, New Caledonia and the islands of French Polynesia namely, Moorea, Bora Bora, Raiatea, Tahaa, Rangiroa, Fakarava, Huahine, Hiva Oa, Nuku Hiva and a lot more. Working with top caliber staff and crew on a first class and five-star rated cruise vessel was absolutely a great experience and I would like to thank Capt. Toni for giving me that very rare and life changing opportunity.
Moving on to another cruise vessel leads my wandering alter ago to roam outside the South Pacific and into the borderless corners around the globe. Onboard the Black Watch, one of the cruise vessels of family owned Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, I have traveled to places as far as Iceland and Greenland and all around Europe, Africa and the Middle East in the Northern Hemisphere and as far as to the Falkland Islands, around South America, the Caribbean Islands and Southeast Asia in the South.
