Last year I bought WOW Magic Sing mic. It is a kind of microphone with a memory chip that contains thousands of songs depending on the capacity of the chip’s memory. This is very popular in many Filipino households these days and the best entertainer for family gatherings or visiting friends or “barkadas”. With this WOW Magic Sing microphone, I am given the chance to let my singing talent out but eventually, I realized that I did not have that talent…LOL… Despite of being aware that I don’t have that talent, I still sing at home no matter what. Anyway, it’s just for fun. It really fascinates me to think how karaoke’s from the early 80’s evolved. First there was the minus-one cassette tape that eventually replaced with the multiplex cassette tape in the years that followed. When compact discs became popular, multiplex CDs replaced the multiplex cassette tapes. Then finally, music went digital. So, this is how innovation in singing reached this far to the point where we can sing our heart out without limits in the comfort of our home.
