Regal Airport Hotel Hong Kong

Regal Airport Hotel Hong Kong
Due to technical reason, Flight CX255 took off Hong Kong International Airport 8 hours delayed For most of the stranded passengers, the delay was disgusting but for me, it’s sort of a chance to check-in absolutely free and stay over for the night in one of Hong Kong’s world-class and best hotels, the Regal Airport Hotel. The accommodation is of course provided by Cathay Pacific Airways. Regal Airport Hotel is just walking distance from the terminal. The hotel is interconnected to Hong Kong International Airport Terminal by an enclosed link bridge so I effortlessly get to the hotel without getting out from the terminal.

The reception desk was manned sufficiently enough to accommodate the volume of guests checking in that time so it did not took too long to get a room. The hotel staffs were really professional, friendly and always showed a smile.

I checked in at room 5125, a deluxe room. The room was very neat, the fixtures, the bathroom, the beds and everything inside were meticulously selected to match with the wall paper and the newly fitted thick carpets. The ambiance and feel of the room was very modern, chic and hip. Since I was already tired, all I wanted to do after that warm shower was to get to bed as early as possible so I did not bother switching on the cable connected flat screen TV set. Of course free WiFi was available inside the room so before totally retiring to bed I checked some emails, updated my Facebook and chatted with wife and kids back home.

It was absolutely a pleasure to have stayed in Regal Airport Hotel especially when waiting for flight. It’s close to the terminal that I can walk easily with luggage in tow.

When I travel I always look for the most affordable but clean hotel. If I find myself checking in plush and expensive one, then it’s not me paying for it. Perhaps one day, I will treat myself – all expense should be paid by me - to a plush five-star hotel. Not so soon but I know I will.
