Cravin' Crabs, For The Freshest Seafoods

Several restaurants are to be found along the quaint streets in downtown Charlotte Amalie, so anyone who is on the hunt for some place to dine, that would be one very easy task - whereever you turn your head around, there's always that particular dining spot you certainly looked for.

Cravin' Crabs, For The Freshest Seafoods
Just a short walk from the pier, I arrived at the place called Cravin' Crabs where at the entrance is the Filipino phrase "Kainan Na Sariling Atin" written on a board. Definitely by the sight of it - I knew I was on the right spot to satisfy my cravings. Popular to the Filipino community in St. Thomas and to Filipino crew members from cruise ships visiting the port, the restaurant serves home-made style and delicious Filipino dishes.

Time was gold and my craving was at the brink so without wasting the time, I went in and was greeted by a friendly Filipino staff. She ushered me to the glass covered food display and there I find assortments of Filipino dishes. So tempting enough to forget my diet (at least for that moment), almost everything from my all-time favorite Filipino dishes like pork dinuguan (blood stew), crispy pata, pancit, pork adobo and many other variety of Pinoy seafood dishes were on display. For any two viand of my choice, unlimited rice and a 500 ml Coca Cola, I only paid USD 14 and that's worth the price.

And by the way, thirsty for some Philippine beer? Why not grab some cold 'Red Horse' beer? Shipped from the Philippines in small quantity, so not all the times Red Horse beer can become available.

Onboard ships, if WiFi access isn't free, it can be very expensive. Cravin' Crabs customers enjoy free WiFi internet access, definitely a restaurant-must-have thing any ship crew always looked for. Video chatting with loved ones and friends back home and at the same time enjoying the food, well, to me that is luxury and Cravin 'Crabs simply met that connectivity expectations.

The ambience of the place is cozy and casual. Most of the restaurant staff are Filipino so dining at Cravin' Crabs is like you are just dining in one of your favorite dining spots in the Philippines.

Adjacent to the restaurant is a grocery shop selling food goodies imported from the Philippines and a BDO affiliated remittance center are to be found. Convenient-wise, being at the place means hitting three birds in a row - a restaurant serving Filipino dishes, a grocery shop to find Filipino goodies and a place to send money back to the Philippines.

Either you are in St. Thomas for holiday, for work or as crew member from the fleet of ships visiting St. Thomas, Cravin' Crabs simply is the perfect spot to hang around for some foodie treat.
